Custom Driver's Cabin

The Driver's Cabin has a cathedral effect with the rolled Copper Snakeskin forming
the walls of the cathedral behind the diver and Command Module - each formed roll is divided
by a rib of 24kt Gold Plate - not seen in general is that the Snakeskin goes all the way
to the floor and behind the seats storage boxes are finished in Creme Ostrich.
The storage boxes also contain a Fire Extinguisher and Medical Kit.
You will also notice that there is no longer a passenger seat -
This has been removed and a Command Module is now the centre piece.
The Command Module houses a 3-way reverse camera monitoring system -
There are cameras on each side of the ute mounted in the solid new side panels -
The other camera is mounted in the new custom rear wing -
The rear wing also houses LED turning signals and brake lights.
All of the electics which operate the rear entertainment system are incorporated into
the new Command Module - the DVD is also mounted into the module and operates the
new 33" Panasonic Viera Digital LED TV - The DVD also has its own 3" screen.
The oval Gold Cobra Snake inserts are actully the switches which operated all of the
custom lighting - DVD - Invertor - Amps etc.
In the centre console there is also a concealed UHF Radio for emergency use -
Other safety features are a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System - Parrot Hands Free Bluetooth
Voice Activated Phone System - Road Angel Navigation and Road Alert System
The central computer area and dash components are finished in
House of Kolor Gold Kosmic Krome - all of the vinyl sections in the cabin are
finished in House of Kolor Copper/Brass Kosmic Krome -
We chose Creme Westminster Carpet for the floor - this was the first shipment of this
quality carpet into Australia as was the Copper Snakeskin and Creme Ostrich Fabrics
The drivers seat is covered in Creme Ostrich with small inserts of the Copper Snakeskin.
The steering wheel took 2 days to complete - we had to ensure that the stitching and design
still allowed for the airbag to be activated in case of a collision.
The Rear Entertainment System
The Entertainment Unit was a chance for Mark at Black Needle Upholstery
to showcase his quality workmanship and designs.
He wanted to create a design that was different from the norm.
The general idea was to create a unit that did not display a barrage
of speakers, sub woofers, amps etc.
